Dr. Scott Ispirescu is a board certified Irvine psychiatrist that treats patients of all ages.

His Experience: Not only is he fluent in many languages, he also trained locally in Southern California. He attended UC Irvine and obtained a bachelor's degree in Psychology. After graduating from Loma Linda University Medical School, he completed his residency in psychiatry. He did his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Ispirescu's Philosophy: He works with children, adolescents, and adults to enable them to live their lives to their fullest. To live a full life, the mind and body are two parts of a whole. What affects one will affect the other. In addition to a holistic treatment approach, good nutrition, exercise, rest, and recreation all form a foundation on which to build good health.
Regarding medication management, Dr. Ispirescu often hears complaints that physicians have become "pill pushers". While he believes that medication is an important component of treatment, it is only one building block in successful treatment.
His Hobbies: Dr. Ispirescu loves spending time with his wife surfing together and watching sunrises and sunsets from the water. In addition to surfing, he is also an avid mountain climber. He has climbed peaks in the Himalayas, Peru, and other parts of North America. He has also spent a year abroad working in New Zealand.
Photography is another hobby which brings him great enjoyment. His enjoys snapping photos of landscapes, people, or under water.
Dr. Ispirescu also values volunteer work. He has spent time helping local communities here in the United States, including on a Native American reservation in New Mexico. In addition to work here in the states, he has also spent time in India, Brazil, Fiji, and Honduras doing medical missionary work.
