Essam Quraishi MD- GI Yorba Linda

Dr. Essam Quraishi is a GI physician (gastroenterology) in Yorba Linda at Caduceus Specialty. He graduated from medical school at Deccan College of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad, India. He completed his Internal Medicine residency from Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. He joined his fellowship in gastroenterology at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit in 2005. He has been involved in multiple studies during his fellowship and has presented original research on quality control in screening colonoscopies and at national gastroenterology conferences. Dr. Quraishi has also been published for his work on pancreatitis in patients with renal failure.

He has a deep interest in general gastroenterology and hepatology and is well equipped to handle all general gastroenterology and hepatology pathology. His areas of interest include viral hepatitis, inflammatory bowel disease and screening for colon cancer. Dr. Quraishi is well versed with the latest therapies for Hepatitis C including interferon and ribavirin sparing treatment. He is also experienced in administering the latest treatment for Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Dr. Quraishi believes in cultivating relationships with his patients and treating each patient as a whole. His philosophy is that you cannot treat an ailment the same for every patient, rather each patient has to be approached on an individual basis and a treatment plan must be tailored to fit the need of each individual patient.

Dr. Quraishi enjoys playing chess, tennis, and soccer in his spare time. He also enjoys spending his free time with his lovely wife, Dr. Fatima, and three children.

Brian Riff MD GI Doctor Yorba Linda

Dr. Brian Riff was born and raised in Orange County, California. He attended USC for college graduating with honors in both political science and biological sciences. He then moved to Philadelphia to attend medical school. Following medical school at Jefferson, Dr. Riff stayed in Philadelphia for residency and fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. During his final year of fellowship, he was selected as chief fellow. While he was at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Riff completed a clinical research certificate program via the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Following Philadelphia, Dr. Riff moved to New York City with his wife where he was the Wong-Tang Fellow in Advanced Endoscopy at Mount Sinai. Dr. Riff happily returned to Orange County in 2016. He is a resident of Corona Del Mar.

Dr. Riff’s clinical interests are pancreatic disease, biliary disease, and pre-malignant lesions of the gastrointestinal tract. Dr. Riff has highly specialized training and experience in many endoscopic procedures including: endoluminal stenting of the esophagus, duodenum and colon; radiofrequency ablation for Barrett’s Esophagus; endoscopic ultrasound; ERCP; endoscopic mucosal resection and complex polypectomy. He has lectured and published original research and book chapters on many gastrointestinal disorders.
